Failure to control speed is illegal, exhibition of speed is illegal, anything you do in a motor vehicle pretty much is illegal. I’m not saying street racing is a good idea, especially with pinks, because that makes people more desperate to do very dangerous stunts, but flooring it when no one is around, with wide open spaces, up to 5-10 over, that’s pretty tame. That’s enough to get up to speed, and tap the brakes to show that you’ve made you’re point. You’re done. Is it dangerous? Yes, technically. He mentioned BTTFIII. Marty was seen at fault because he was racing, but who blew past that stop sign and failed to yield? The so called “innocent bystander.”

I lived in Florida for a couple years when I was going to college and the thing that I find funny is that street lights take so long to change out there that I 100% believe that Swoozie had enough time to initiate the challenge, google his cars performance capabilities and plan out his contingencies for any potential hazards that may occur during the race and get ready and rev his engine all before the light changed and the race was on.

I used to hang around with some pro street racers. These guys' cars were pushing a minimum of 500 horsepower, all ran radar detectors in their cars, and somehow were street legal despite all the race car parts. They never raced for pinks, but they did for money. In short, these guys had their own code of honor and laws when they went out to race. One lesson they taught me was to never be reckless and endanger other people, and to always slow down and drive safe when there's traffic.
