Oof, I'm torn between 2 people atm and don't know what to do. My ex and I had a miscommunication and we talked it out and cleared up the misunderstanding, but before we cleared things up, I did go on a dating app and found someone who I immediately hit it off with on the first date and had a wonderful second date with too.
The new person is very inconsistent at communicating because their job is very demanding. We have the same communication style and we are compatible in a lot of ways when we do finally talk/meet up.
Yes, my ex is an ex for a reason but mainly because he never got his life together, he always treated me well and was a good boyfriend. Even as exes, we've remained really close. He's looking for a job and wants to get out of his parents house, but it feels almost a little too late. Especially since we dated for 3 years and known each other for 4.
I'm torn, do I go with the person I'm more compatible with and has a really good established career already, but may not be there when I need him, or do I go with the person I already know and wait even longer for them to get their life in order, but will always be there when I call?
And side note: they are both 28 and live with their parents due to their folks having health issues.

I’ve got a common phrase I tell my friends when they ask for advice and they always go why aren’t you with anyone. That phrase is the Coach Don’t Play. However, after all these dating stories and A+ tier content I’m dying wondering why our man Swoozie hasn’t secured a baddie yet. jealousy is ALWAYS a red flag for me now and its not a turn on for me anymore because i realized that jealousy causes alot of problems and everyone is their own decision maker (so if they cheat they cheat) and typically jealousy is a sign of distrust

I honestly myself, don't believe that a small amount of jealousy is inherently bad. Jealousy is only bad when it causes them to start trying to control or get mad at you or someone else. A little bit of jealousy is not only not bad, but healthy. Because think about it, if they don't miss you when you're hanging with your buds, or start standing closer when someone seems to be flirting with you. That says to me they aren't too bothered about losing you.

My best friend is in an emotionally abusive relationship, hella ref flags all over, but she won’t leave him. I disagree with you on one point, Swooz. "The right amount of jealousy" just straight up isn't a red flag. But "the right amount" is a VERY key point and fine line. When it starts being an issue, that's when it turns into a red flag, but your partner frankly SHOULD be a little jealous. If anything, not even the tiniest bit of jealous is a sign that they might be non-monogamous to some degree, and that is potentially a red flag in it's self.

Met this girl at a speed date, blindfolded, mind you.
When the event ended, got her contact and texted her to see if she was free to talk.
She said that she's available in the late afternoon and so I waited.
The time came and I texted her if she was available, no response.
Immediate red flag.
But, willing to give her a chance, I guve her a call the next day, but she sounded busy said that she'll call later, no call back.
Stike two.
The day after, I texted her asking if she wws available to talk, once wgain, no response.
That let me know she has little or no interest in me.
So I shoot her a text, wishing her the best and just went out separate ways.
