Hey Swooz. Long time subscriber here.
Just watched that documentary, and bro. That moment around 5:05 where you talk about having your life planned ahead of you and it just getting erased... that hit me, man. I've never seen you get emotional like that, and I felt that. I felt that so hard. Even after all the success you've had, for that to still sting you like it does.
I've spent the last thirteen years of my life doing everything I could to be either a priest or a friar. For as far back as I could remember, that's what I knew I was supposed to be. I put everything on it. Things kept going wrong, but I still pushed. Like you said, living by faith, not by sight. Finally, just over a year ago, I got so close. I was just a few days before the finish line, the happiest I had ever been in my life, and then out of nowhere, everything, everything just got pulled out from under me. All that time, all that work, just... gone. Totally believing in myself, and being the only one.
It's like you said, though. No one has my voice. I've got stories to tell. I've got a lot to share. I think PLclip really is the place to do that. I might not have a whole lot going for me, but I am a storyteller. That's something I love. That's something I hope I can do.
Thank you for being out here and sharing yourself with us, Adande. You really are a beautiful soul, and it has been an honor to follow you all these years and be a part of your journey.

The end hit different for me. I should never have been with someone so controlling with a "my way or the highway" mindset. Compromise is such an important yet ignored thing in relationships sometimes, among other things like listening to and respecting your partner. It was an eye-opening experience for me, and it showed me how a relationship should never be. I'm happy to be single and free!!! I'm currently grinding in my first semester of law school. I'm so happy I came across this video. I really needed some validation. Both of my siblings are in relationships and plan to bring their partners to family holiday events. I couldn't help but feel left out. But, when I really thought about it, I was like, "Who am I fooling? Being in a relationship requires effort I am not ready to give."

Got out of a toxic relationship of 2.5 like 8 months ago and the main issue with that one is I jumped into it without being friends with the gal and I didn’t realize until I was already in love at the time and invested that we were pretty much incompatible with most things. So I learned from that and started talking to this one chica for awhile before asking her out and she literally exactly my type so we learned from our mistakes 😭

I haven't had a significant other long enough to realize that I am far too selfish with my time to realistically devote a large amount of it to someone else. Its not that I don't want to find "the one" but I like everything about being single, and it would take something absolutely special for me to be willing to sacrifice my time.

I’m over 30 and single because I’ve made a very complete life for myself and a girl would probably ruin it if she came into the relationship with a lot of her own ideas. Can verify. Communication and accepting criticism is the key to a good romantic relationship. Everyone has arguments sometimes. No relationship is perfect, but the end goal should always be to improve your lives together.

Long time no see! Me and my girl have been together for almost 15 years. During the pandemic while we were living separately, we did have a brief breakup given she thought I had my family trying to manipulate everything. I had a nervous breakdown and we ended up rekindling our relationship then. It was rough, but I learned a huge lesson. We have forgiven each other on that behalf too. I can admit I had some issues then. Nowadays, I wouldn't know for sure how I would feel if I was still single. I hardly go out much because I never find much time to do so.
Interesting that you threw out the term "in an isolationship". I think during the pandemic, and rebuilding my mentality back up after me and the girlfriend rekindled albeit while living separately, I had to regroup and focus a lot on myself. I can admit even before the pandemic, I was used to isolating myself, even around family and other friends. I've gotten a lot of help by then.

I may be single, but I wonder what is like to experience a relationship. Even though I have friends, I am usually alone and I wonder if being in a relationship could help with that. My father once told me that being single is better because there are people who have different beliefs about what is right and wrong. Sometimes I wonder why people usually go with people who are jerks to each other, whatever the reason, I believe it is unhealthy, especially in a relationship. Sometimes I wonder if I'm ready to be in a relationship or not. Sometimes it is mainly about seeing both sides of the story to come up with a conclusion, weather you agree or disagree.

I'm single because i just wanna be left alone. I don't have the mental capacity to deal with someone else on top of dealing with myself. Watching this video made me think of all my friends who are in relationships tho, lol superrrr well done! :)

I have been single for a long time. I have my good days in being single, but I also have my bad days. That statement swoozie said about getting happy being single first before seeking a relationship means I lot to me. The last three years have been very rough for me, but I am slowly turning things around. I just have to faith that there is someone out there for me, I just haven't found her yet. Thanks for the video, Swoozie, the validation I’m feeling right now has made me feel so happy.
I’m single, and I am happy to be single, to a point. But I do have times where I just wish I had someone I could cuddle up with at night.
Even worse, my family loves to bring up the fact that I’m still single, that there’s clearly something I’m doing wrong to still be single in my 20s, but as much as I do want to find someone, I need to be ready for it. And even if I feel ready for it, it’s a whole new playing field for me, and I need to find someone I feel is right for me. And I’m willing to wait for that.

Seeing the end about the PLclip documentary really made me realize you influenced PLclip animation creators. I’ve been watching you since 7th grade (2016-2017)and besides the fact that you’re entertaining and a great story teller I really loved your style of animation. I’m not 19 and still watch your videos lol and it barely feels like any time went by. You’re the longest I’ve been subscribed to someone.

Single days were fun -- full of exploring and trying new things. But my current relationship/marriage days have similar experiences and then more. I've previously dated extremely controlling and rigid people, but my husband is the best friend and perfect partner for me. He's sweet, attentive, emotionally intelligent, comforting, and the most fun I've EVER had. So to conclude... being single is fun and exciting, but finding the very specific right person to be with is the best part of a relationship.
Also congrats on just....everything awesome happening to you Swoozie!! I've followed your videos for years and it's so cool seeing you find all these opportunities and recognition!

being single is honestly so nice. I've always been an extremely independent person (my parents told me when I was a baby I would run away repeatedly and not look back lol) so giving up that extreme independence would mean the other person would have to be REALLY special. haven't met anyone I felt that strongly about yet, might never happen, and that's ok I'll be chilling with the other single grannies in the retirement home one day drinking our .05 oz cosmos getting lit the fuck up

My friend who I’ve basically known my whole life recently got himself his first girlfriend and it hit me HARD when he told me he lost his v card. It was actually the the day after my birthday that he told me (we’re the same age) and I felt like I was missing out/doing something wrong. Over time I’ve gotten over it and am working on myself but man being single really sucks sometimes lmao.

I say this is good advixe, focus on yourself, if people talks about an ex too much that person is 100 percent usually the toxix problem and there isnt anything wrong with being single, relationships are a lot work and it is better you focus on your goals first but if you enter a relationship you both need to realize as the video stated you arent going to be good at kissing or what ever and its ok to work on it for better chemistry but also try to be nice, i think where he went wrong was how he questioned people inatead of jumping to conclusions ans being like "whats up with how you kiss" explain nicely that you want to try different kissing styles or a nore positive way of trying to help them progress inatead of attacking their self esteem.

Oof, the story about Swoozie and the girl who kissed badly hits close to home. My first boyfriend also did not know how to kiss. I remember being so excited for my first kiss with a boy ever and it was horrible because he pressed his lips so hard against mine that it crushed my lip between his lip and my teeth and it freaking hurt. And that's how he kissed all the time. I didn't want to say anything cuz I didn't want to hurt his feelings, so I just avoided kissing him u_u;

Yeah, I think there's a good reason why criticism isn't handled well. It's because unwanted criticism by nature is toxic. As someone in a slavic family, it's a dysfunctional part of our culture. In their head's it's normal to do that and even tho the intention behind it might be good, it's still toxic when it's unwanted. Let me explain why it's toxic. The issue is we criticize when we ourselves are far from perfect. I too can criticize a person but I try not to because I know it doesn't feel good. Trust me, most people are painfully aware of their own flaws and shortcomings, and if they want to fix it or change it, they will. They don't want or need us to weigh in on it. Nor are we Mr. or Ms. perfect, so who are we to judge? Sometimes we as people are so wrapped up in our own trauma that we build those defense mechanisms that makes things worse for ourselves or others. But I really do believe criticism is not the way to fix or change people, it just more often than not has the opposite effect.
Now Instead may I suggest what works far better? Give people genuine compliments about the good things about them and appreciate them for who they are. Everyone has at least a couple good things about them. If you give them love for those little things, naturally they will feel better and want to be better for you and around you knowing that you a person that appreciates them for those things. Positivity attracts more positivity, and similarly vice versa with negativity. They will naturally want to change for the better because of how good you are to them!
Swoozie as a Christian man, (at least I think you still are? idk), remember what the bible says? “Life and death are in the power of the tongue” When you speak criticism over people they feel worse and weaker. That's not life we are speaking, it's death over people we are speaking with our criticism. It's a dysfunctional and nasty habit we as people have, isn't it? But it's so true, try speaking only life into others and watch the difference it makes in your life and the life of others.

I'm single because I A. don't fall for anyone without forming a platonic, real emotional relationship with said person first (first and only crush I've had for the moment was a close friend of mine from high school- I'm 26 now, we're still buds to this day) and B. I'm of the ace society and half the time considered a prude by today's society. I'd like to find "the one" and have a family of my own, but I got preferences and know what I want, so I don't mind the wait!

I ended up in this curse where the attraction is either one sided or no attractiveness at all from both parties. The two times I was attracted to the person, I got ghosted.
Side story: someone recently gave me the ick over text because "if I really wanted to call someone, I wouldn't care about my schedule". He asked to call during my work week, and I work 12 hour shifts in manufacturing.

I'm single because I spent my highschool years being socially inept, and I was too shy to talk to people. That coupled with my senior year being taken away by Covid, and moving after getting my GED, im not stuck with the few people I made friends with and two of them are my Exes. I'm single because I screwed myself and was too shy to meet people, and now ive moved away from all of my friends and I'm in a small town with no natural way to meet new people.

You're absolutely right about being single as a superpower. The reason it seems impossible to be single for so long, is because people make relationships too much of a need instead of a want. Plus when you do that, it binds your self-worth/self-esteem strictly to that other person. I can't/will not ever rock like that. I remember looking up to you for years, especially when i learned you were from TNT like my mother. I still remember when I messaged you on XBox asking if you like CoD and you actually messaged me back. You inspired me to want to be a youtuber.
While it didnt work out for me, I was able to take your lessons of tenacity and apply it to my work and my education. I'll graduate in May and attained a high position at my office and I thank you for those subtle, and not so subtle lessons.

Reason I'm single is I just really don't know how to talk to girls or how to flirt, I can have normal conversations, but when I have "flirtatious" intentions I just get very nervous and awkward. And even if there's the rare case that I'm being flirted with I just think that "oh they're just being nice". But being single does have it's pros, like having a lot of time to myself. I liked being alone but what hits different is feeling alone and I hate that.

Omg yes... no one can listen to flaws about themselves. The level of maturity in people is frustrating sometimes. There some people that you cannot suggest a single bit of criticism too or they just go off.
And I try very hard not to be those people. I have gone through hell and high water to better some of my awful emotional habbits. And I try really hard to listen if someone I trust tells me something I need to think about bettering.

I don't mind the singleness; at this point I embrace it. I've been alone most of my life, I can get by as such mainly because I feel I get way too nervous/shy around the one I like and i'm pretty much a big ol' mess lol.
